The week of June 19, we:
- reviewed the Science quiz from last week about land biomes (sent home for parent signature)
- learned about the temperate forest (a 6th land biome) and watched a couple BrainPop videos in French about aquatic biomes
- completed a problem-solving activity involving fractions and played an equivalent fraction game in partners in Math
- reviewed a math assessment from last week about decimal numbers and fractions (sent home for parent signature)
- practised adding and subtracting decimal numbers to the tenths and hundredths place (we made pretend dollar store purchases)
- viewed an episode of ONIVA! (en français) about money
- practiced a commercial in English promoting or discouraging the use of the renewable or non-renewable energy resource that we researched, presented it in front of the class, and received feedback from our classmates
- continued to discuss mental wellbeing in Health in relation to body image by analyzing magazine advertisements (thank you for your donations!)
- completed a self-assessment about the "Core Competency" of communication (from the new curriculum) which will be sent home for review with the report card
